He is a resident of Kingman and has a claim in Kingman during the date of June 21st, 1878.[1] He was simply referred to as "Mr. Shingles" by The Mecury newspaper. During the week of June 21st, 1878, he proposed to build a house on his claim for "school and church purposes."[1]
