He opened a store north of the courthouse in Kingman during the week of June 14th, 1878, which advertised that it has "nice cigars".[1]
His large advertisement on June 14th, 1878 stated: "New Opening. W. N. Porch, Dealer in Groceries and Provisions. Everything usually kept in a First-Class Grocery House can be found at my store. The first ? north of the court-house, Kingman."
