He was appointed justice of the peace for Kingman County during the week of June 14th, 1878.[1] He was also mentioned as "getting up a menagerie. Prairie dogs, squirrels and such."[2] He received a letter from Mr. Craycraft, who is "negotiating for the machinery for the mill soon to be built at [Kingman]."
On Saturday, June 8th, 1878, he and his wife became parents of a baby boy. He weighs 9 pound and was the first boy born in Kingman.[2]
