1883 Birds Eye View of Kingman

The city is located on the Ninnescah River on the northwest side of township 28-7 section 5, with Sherman Street and Main Street being the first streets (coordinates: 37.641915, -98.113186).[1][2] It was named after Samuel A. Kingman.
